Conwy Castle sits high over the town of Conwy, Wales. Built in the 13th century by Edward I, its main purpose was to solidify his control over the conquered Welsh population. With its huge rock walls, it must have been an imposing sight. Today, you can explore the interior and walk the ramparts just like Edward’s guards must have so long ago. And we did exactly that on the day we were there, but when I caught sight of it while wandering through Conwy’s medieval streets later that evening on a night with a full moon, I immediately knew that was the shot I wanted.
